BlueBox by Bluebits Technologies is a service-driven network of smart lockers designed to revolutionize parcel management. This innovative solution seamlessly connects private individuals and businesses with couriers, online shops, and various services, ensuring a streamlined and efficient last-mile delivery experience.
As the lead of the product team, I had the privilege of developing the entire BlueBox ecosystem from the ground up. This comprehensive system includes the locker hardware, user-friendly mobile app, and a robust management web platform. My primary focus was to create an intuitive user interface, ensuring a user-centric design that prioritizes ease of navigation and accessibility.

We began with an in-depth competitor analysis, examining existing locker systems to identify their key features, advantages, and drawbacks. Our research revealed that many market offerings suffer from information overload due to excessive options per screen, creating a poor user experience for all involved.
To ensure reliability and seamless interaction for a diverse user base, we developed detailed user scenarios to understand their behaviors, pain points, and objectives in parcel delivery, collection, and management. Our research process included:

During the interface development phase, we focused on creating a clean, modern design with intuitive navigation. Each element of the interface was meticulously considered to ensure the system was accessible and easy to use.

The BlueBox user app was designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. Users can effortlessly browse their deliveries to the BlueBox smart locker, collect pending packages, and access support, all with just a few taps.
The app features intuitive navigation with straightforward, easily accessible buttons for quick interactions. Bright and bold colours were strategically used to create a sense of energy and guide users through their actions seamlessly.
Taking into consideration the vast and growing number of active users and demographics, a key usability factor was to promote clarity with refined user journeys through an accessible user interface.
By utilizing color schemes, typography style and size as well as visual iconography – the system was custom built to offer a robust user experience.
